The Story

Originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1960 for three lobbies in New York City's Rockefeller Center.
They designed the seats of these stools to be concave enough to provide a comfortable place to sit, but not so deep that a teacup would tilt and spill. The lathe-turned stools can therefore also be used as occasional tables.
